In this post we discuss the documentation required for a PHA.
The documentation needed for a hazards analysis will vary according to the scope of the work. However, the following are usually required:
Process Chemistry;
Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs);
Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs);
Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs);
Plot Plans;
Operating Procedures;
Safe Upper and Lower limits (particularly pressure and temperature limits for equipment items);
Safety Data Sheets;
Piping Specifications; and
Electrical Area Classification Plot Plans.
