BSEE (the United States Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement) publishes regular Safety Alerts. Typically, these Alerts describe an incident or near miss that occurred offshore, or else they review the findings from an inspection or audit. BSEE then provides recommendations based on their observations. BSEE also publishes NTLs (Notices to Lessees and Operators).
The Alerts and NTLs are generally focused on occupational safety rather than process safety/SEMS. (SEMS stands for Safety and Environmental Management Systems ― it is the offshore equivalent of OSHA’s process safety management standard.)
